Born 22 May 1956 in Wichita, Kansas,
Al Corley began his acting career in the late 70s appearing
in several made-for-television movies such as Women at West
Point, And Baby Makes Six, and The Women's Room.
Corley also worked for a time as a door man for the now
infamous club Studio 54. In 1981 he joined the cast of Dynasty
playing the controversial role of the homosexual son of Blake
Carrington, Steven. Unhappy with the direction the writers were
taking his character, he quit the series. He returned briefly
to the world of nighttime soaps a few years later appearing
in several episodes of NBC's Bare Essence. In 1985 he worked
again with his Dynasty costar Pamela Sue Martin in her semi-autobiographical
film Torchlight. Corley would continue his occasional acting
roles through the 80s and 90s in several films such as Incident
at Channel Q, Don Juan DeMarco, Hard Days, Hard Nights, and
Otto - Der Liebesfilm. He reprised his role as Steven Carrington
in 1991 for the mini-series Dynasty: The Reunion. Corley has
also worked as a producer and director. He has also recorded
several albums and once dated Carly Simon before marrying Jessika
Cardinahl in 1989 with whom he has three children. |
