A native of Dayton, Ohio, Gordon Jump
began his career working at radio and TV stations in the Midwest.
He worked behind the microphone and the camera, including jobs
as a producer for Kansas and Ohio stations. He began his Hollywood
career after moving to Los Angeles in 1963, appearing on series
including Seinfeld, Get Smart, The Golden Girls,
Soap, The Bionic Woman, and The Partridge Family.
Jump portrayed the Maytag repairman "Ol' Lonely," a well-recognized
advertising symbol, from 1989 until he retired from the role
in July and actor Hardy Rawls took over. Jump will probably
be best remembered for the role of the radio station manager
Arthur Carlson in the TV sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati which
ran from 1978 to 1982. He also had small roles in the theatrical
films Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, The
Fury, and A Dog's Tale. He was also a
producer in the mid-70s for The Tony Randall Show. Jump
died in September 2003 at the age of 71 from pulmonary fibosis
leading to heart and respiratory failure. |

Brian Byers who plays Morgan
in this episode first appeared on television in 1972 in an episode
of The Bob Newhart Show. He would also appear on several
episodes of M*A*S*H, as well as guest star on Happy
Days, Beverly Hills, 90210, L.A. Law and Emergency.
He appeared on the big screen is such films as You Light
Up My Life and He Knows You're Alone.

Phillip R. Allen |

Born in 1939 Phillip R.
Allen's first television appear was in 1969 in a show called
NYPD (with out the "Blue"). He would go on
to guest star in several television shows from The Mary Tyler
Moore Show and Lou Grant to Designing Women,
Law & Order, 21 Jump Street, and Bosom
Buddies. He's appeared in several made for TV films such
as A Very Brady Christmas, Marilyn & Bobby: Her Final
Affair, and Helter Skelter. His theatrical films
include, Mommie Dearest, The Onion Field,
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, and a little
film starring Pamela Sue Martin herself, The Lady in Red. |

Born in December of 1922, Len Lesser
is a veteran of film and TV heavy with hundreds of credits on
his resume. Making his film debut in 1955's Shack Out
on 101, he went on to appear in Please Don't Eat
the Daisies, How to Stuff a Wild Bikini
, Barbra Streisand's The Main Event, and The
Outlaw Josey Wales. He guest starred in numerous television
series beginning in a 1957 episode of Dragnet, and appeared
in The Untouchables, My Favorite Martian, Green
Acres, Bonanza, McMillan and Wife, Everybody
Loves Raymond, Remmington Steele, and Falcon Crest.
However, he didn't become became a semi-household name until
in his 70s when he played Uncle Leo on numerous episodes of
Seinfeld. |
