Queenie
Smith |

Queenie Smith was born in New York
City in 1898. She is described as 5 feet 1 inch, with blue eyes
and blonde hair, weighing 108 pounds. She was educated at public
schools, the Horance Mann School and matriculated at age 13
with the Ballet School of Metropolitan Opera. While a teenager,
Queenie was solo danseuse of Metropolitan Opera Company in Aida,
Samson and Delilah, Faust and La
Traviata. She appeared in over 30 films starting in
1934. Some of her films include Show Boat, The
Snake Pit, The Sweet Smell of Success,
Mother, Jugs & Speed, and Foul Play
(with Irene Tedrow). She guest starred in several television
shows like Love, American Style, Here's Lucy,
Maude and The Monkees. She was also some what
of a series regular on Little House on the Prairie. At
one time she was even engaged to a young man by the name of
Archie Leach. He would later reach fame as Cary Grant! Queenie
died in August of 1978 from cancer. |

Irene
Tedrow |

Irene Tedrow spent most of her 60-year
career on stage, but she also had considerable experience in
feature films and on television. Slender and possessing an austere
beauty, Tedrow was well suited for the rather prim and moral
characters she most often played. After establishing herself
on stage in the early '30s, she made her film debut in 1940
in We Who Are Young. She gained fame during the
1940s playing Mrs. Janet Archer in the Meet Corliss Archer
film series. She kept the role in the subsequent television
series. Her film roles included appearances in such films as
The Ten Commandments, Foul Play
(with Queenie Smith), Empire of the Ants , and
the Barbra Streisand film All Night Long.
She played Mrs. Elkins on Dennis the Menace between 1959
and 1963. In 1976, Tedrow earned an Emmy for her performance
in a made for TV film Eleanor and Franklin.
She would continue to work in made for TV films and mini series
like The Two Worlds of Jennie Logan, Centennial,
Welcome Home, Jellybean, and the special Halloween
Is Grinch Night. She made over 100 guest star apparances
in epsiodes of various shows like Dragnet, The Twilight
Zone, Bonanza, Three's Company and The
Fact of Life. Her last television appearance was in 1989,
and she died of a stroke in March of 1995. |

Mary
Jo Catlett |

Mary Jo Catlett a bubbly fun loving
character actress has appeared in numerous television and film
roles, Broadway and over 30 national television commercials.
She has appeared in such films as Semi-Tough,
The Champ, The Best Little Whorehouse in
Texas, and Serial Mom. When Charlotte
Rae left Diff'rent Strokes in 1982 to start The Fact
of Life, Catlett was hired to play housekeeper, Pearl Gallagher
until the show's end in 1986. Mary JO was nominated for an Emmy
for her role as Mary Finnegan on General Hospital, in
1990. Catlett also lent her voice to several animated characters
in The Smurfs, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World,
and SpongeBob SquarePants. Some of her television guest
appearances include such shows as Fantasy Island, Murder,
She Wrote, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, The
Dukes of Hazard, Starsky and Hutch, and The Bob
Newhart Show. On Broadway, Catlett was the original Ernestina
in Hello Dolly!, played Mabel in Pajama
Game, and appeared in Canterbury Tales,
and Lysistrata, among other works. |

John Carter |

Born in November of 1927
in Arkansas, John Carter has appeared in numerous television
shows and made for TV movies. His first television appearance
was in 1967 on the show Combat. He followed that with
appearance in Gunsmoke and The Big Valley. He
also appeared on Knots Landing, Hotel, Lou
Grant, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Dallas, and
The Trials of Rosie O'Neill. Now in his late 70s, Carter
still continues to make guest appearances he has recently guest
starred on several episodes of Law & Order. Interestingly
enough, Noah Wyle's character on ER, is named John Carter. |
